POS-side deactivation for Sensormatic AM.
The Compact Pad Pro is Sensormatic's standard AM deactivator — a pad that switches off UltraMax labels when the tagged item passes within about 7 inches of the surface. It's meant to live on the checkout counter or be built into a point-of-sale system so cashiers deactivate labels automatically as items are rung up.
Deactivators are one piece of a complete loss-prevention setup — pedestals at the door, tags on the merchandise, deactivators at the counter. Sensormatic deactivators will not deactivate Checkpoint RF tags, and vice versa.
