Nedap i45

Nedap · RF / Hybrid RF+RFID / RFID-only · upgradable next-gen gate

Nedap's i45 is the migration gate — the same hardware ships as RF-only, as a Hybrid RF+RFID system, or as RFID-only (iD Gate), with an in-field upgrade path between configurations. Start with 8.2 MHz RF coverage today and move to RFID-driven detection (Impinj R2000 chip, iD Cloud Loss Prevention integration) as the source-tagging programme matures. Modern open design with adaptable frame colors and cover sets, on the same i-Line electronics and single-cable architecture as the i30 and i37.

Nedap sells exclusively through certified Loss Prevention Partners. Contact RSG to find a comparable RFID solution available in the U.S. (Checkpoint, Sensormatic RFID, etc.).

Overview

One gate, three configurations, full migration path.

Retailers moving from RF labels to RFID source tagging usually face a forklift problem at the gate — RF pedestals do not read RFID, and rip-and-replace is expensive. The i45 is built specifically to be that bridge. Buy it as RF-only today and protect existing 8.2 MHz inventory; upgrade in-field to the Hybrid configuration to cover both RF labels and RFID source-tagged items in parallel; upgrade again to RFID-only (sold as iD Gate) once the RF programme is fully sunset. The RFID variants use the Impinj R2000 chip and integrate with iD Cloud Loss Prevention for item-level EPC analytics. The frame and cover sets are configurable, so the gate adapts to the store concept regardless of which technology mode it runs.

Features

  • Three configurations on the same chassis — RF only, Hybrid RF+RFID, RFID only
  • In-field upgrade path — RF to Hybrid to RFID without replacing the gate
  • Impinj R2000 on RFID variants — RAIN UHF, broad chip ecosystem
  • Modern open design — adaptable to store concept
  • Configurable frame colors and cover sets
  • Single-cable installation — common i-Line architecture
  • i-Line state-of-the-art electronics — same platform as i30 and i37
  • iD Cloud Loss Prevention integration — once RFID is enabled
  • Real-time dashboards — in-store and organization-wide

Compatibility

RF mode uses standard 8.2 MHz RF labels (Checkpoint-interoperable at the label level). Hybrid and RFID modes use RAIN UHF source-tagged inventory with EPC. Because the i45 is the migration gate, the same hardware can be sourced through Nedap's certified Loss Prevention Partners as RF, Hybrid, or RFID. For a comparable RF/RFID upgradable pedestal available through RSG, see the Checkpoint Evolve iR P30.
