Overview
Pin-attached IR smart tag for high-value apparel.
Cicada is sized for the fashion floor — small oblong body with a standard pin coming out the bottom, ready to attach to a garment label or seam. The AM 58 kHz EAS component triggers any 58 kHz gate at the exit; the IR alarm system layers tamper detection on top, sounding the audible alarm on cutting, forced removal, or unauthorized removal attempts. SuperLock magnetic lock — but the IR pulse from a WG IR detacher is what cleanly deactivates the tag and silences any active alarm. Durable ABS housing for repeated use.

Compatibility
Frequency-compatible with 58 kHz AM EAS systems (Sensormatic-compatible) at the exit. **Requires a WG IR SuperLock detacher** for clean removal — the proprietary IR pulse silences the alarm and unlocks the SuperLock. Non-WG IR detachers will not release this tag. Compatible WG detachers: Wave IR Flush-Mount, Wave IR Desktop, Wave IR Multi-Detacher, Hand-Held IR Smart, Mini IR Desktop.
