Nedap iD POS Pro
Nedap · RFID UHF POS reader · Impinj Ex10 chip · PoE plug-and-play
RFID reader at staffed POS that marks items as paid (in the iD Cloud or any third-party RFID stock platform) so they don't alarm at the iD Gate Pro exit. Speeds checkout by ~50% versus barcode + hard tag workflows, since the cashier doesn't need to find or scan tags individually. Built on the latest Impinj Ex10 chip for fast read/write/authenticate. Powered over Ethernet, plug-and-play setup from the cloud Device Management platform.

Overview
RFID checkout reader for staffed POS; alarm logic via iD Cloud.
In an RFID EAS architecture, deactivation is conceptual rather than physical — items are marked as paid in a cloud database (the EAS Engine), and the iD Gate Pro at the exit alarms only on unpaid EPCs. The iD POS Pro is the cashier-side hardware that does that marking: the cashier drops the merchandise onto the reader, all tagged items are scanned in one sweep, the POS transaction posts, and every EPC flips to paid. No hard tag removal, no individual barcode scans, no missed items. Nedap's internal testing puts the total checkout transaction ~15% faster vs barcode and ~50% faster vs a hard-tag-plus-barcode flow. The reader uses the latest Impinj Ex10 RAIN chip, runs over PoE for clean cable installs, and integrates via Websocket APIs out of the box. Critically for the cash wrap: it only reads items directly above the reader surface, so adjacent merchandise doesn't get accidentally scanned and the next customer's items don't trigger phantom reads.

Compatibility
Functions as a 'deactivator' in the RFID-EAS sense — it flips the EPC status from unpaid to paid in the iD Cloud (or in any integrated third-party RFID stock platform), so the iD Gate Pro at the exit does not alarm. Does NOT deactivate 58 kHz AM (Sensormatic) or 8.2 MHz RF (Checkpoint) labels — completely different technology. Sold exclusively through certified Nedap Loss Prevention Partners. For comparable RFID checkout readers available through RSG, see the Checkpoint iS Solutions RFID readers.
