AM/RFID Power Detacher

Sensormatic · AM + RFID · sweethearting protection

A SuperTag power detacher with an integrated UHF RFID antenna. It won't release the tag unless the tag's RFID EPC matches the scanned barcode — so staff can't deactivate a tag on a cheap item and walk out with an expensive one. Real-time detach events feed live inventory and cycle-count reports.

Technology
AM + RFID (UHF 860–960 MHz)
Form factor
Countertop or flush-mount
Power
100–240 VAC · 24 VDC @ 2.0 A · 48 W max
Best for
Stores running AM/RFID hard tags, inventory accuracy programs

Overview

Detacher that refuses sweethearting.

Sweethearting — where an employee rings up the wrong item and walks a buddy out with something pricier — is a perennial loss-prevention problem. The AM/RFID detacher kills it at the release point: no barcode/tag match, no detach. Every release feeds LDM II for live inventory visibility.

Features

  • Dual-tech — AM deactivation + UHF RFID validation
  • Sweethearting prevention — tag EPC must match barcode
  • Real-time detach reporting via LDM II
  • Desktop (IDKM1000DT) or flush (IDKM1010FM)
  • UHF 860–960 MHz
