Quicksilver 1000 Dual Antenna System

Checkpoint · RF 8.2 / 9.5 MHz · Pedestal pair

The QS1000 (Quicksilver) — Checkpoint's predecessor to the QS2000 digital line — is a time-tested RF pedestal pair that reliably covers 3-ft openings with standard 8.2 MHz tags, and can be tuned to 9.5 MHz for library-style deployments. Discontinued.

Overview

A retail-security classic.

The Quicksilver 1000 is the generation that preceded the QS2000 digital line — durable, reliable, and widely deployed. It detects both Checkpoint hard tags and soft (CP410-series paper) labels at the standard 3-ft opening. If you use large hard tags only, pedestals can be spread up to 5 ft apart.

The system can be tuned to 9.5 MHz for library/video-store contexts, though 9.5 MHz paper tags are not deactivatable. The QS1000 is no longer manufactured — we point new installs to the G1000.

Where this system lived

  • 3-ft retail-exit RF protection for 8.2 MHz tags
